Water-Soluble Vitamins

Vitamins B and C are dissolved by water in the cells of our bodies. Water-soluble vitamins cannot be stored. Excess amounts of these vitamins are eliminated from the body through urine and feces.
When foods high in vitamin B and vitamin C are cooked, some of the vitamins are lost through cooking water and heat. Because these vitamins are not stored in our bodies, it is important to provide your client with foods rich in the B and C vitamins each day.
